Sailors on a Mission is a grassroots campaign to raise money for Children’s Hospital & Research Center Foundation.  Through the Pacific Cup, a sailboat racing adventure between San Francisco and Hawaii in July 2008, Sailors on a Mission is targeting the sailing community for donations and support for the kids receiving treatment at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland .

A personal connection with Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland

Evan Luc was born early and spent the first three months of his life under the care of Children's Hospital of Oakland.  My son directly benefited from highly specialized and life saving treatement given by amazing doctors and nurses totally dedicated to kids.

Today Evan Luc is a 2nd grader full of energy.  He speaks English, Spanish and French fluently.  Evan Luc loves swimming, playing soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis and he dreams of sailing across oceans with his Dad one day.
