PACIFIC CUP - FINAL WRAP-UP
The sixty boats and hundreds of sailors that made the
fifteenth biennial Pacific Cup race from San Francisco
to Hawaii has been completed.

ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2009 PINEAPPLE CUP
The Southern Ocean Racing Conference (SORC) announces
the official opening for entries in the 29th Pineapple
Cup - Montego Bay Race. Schedule to start on February
6, 2009. The the race – known affectionately by
sailors as ‘Mo Bay’ – runs 811 nautical
miles to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

HARBOR RACE - LABOR DAY WEEKEND GETAWAY RACE
The Gulf of Maine Station of The Storm Trysail Club and
the Boston Station of the Cruising Club of America cordially
invite you to participate in the Northeast Harbor Race
on Labor Day weekend. The start is Friday, August 29,

PACIFIC CUP - RACERS SEE CONTINUED EXCELLENT SPEED
Almost a week into the 15th Pacific Cup, some of the earliest
starters are preparing to hold their traditional halfway
parties as they pass the 1035-miles-to-Hawaii mark.

DYT WINS 63rd BLOCK ISLAND RACE For the first time in decades, in order to take
advantage of the northerly direction of the wind, the
Storm Trysail Club's Block Island Race was run counter-clockwise
around Block Island. The overall IRC and IRC Super Zero
Class winner was Roger Sturgeon's STP65 Rosebud/Team DYT.

BLOCK ISLAND RACE RESULTS ARE POSTED Race results, awards, photos, and other race
information have been posted for the 63rd running of this
annual 185 mile distace race.

BLOCK ISLAND RACE EXPECTS A "BIG TURNOUT" The Storm Trysail Club's 63rd Block Island Race,
an annual distance race that serves as one of New England's
first competition tune-ups for the summer season, will
host a fleet of more than 100 boats

PACIFIC CUP HAS RECORD NUMBER OF ENTRIES
With the clock counting down to the May 1 entry
deadline, the 15th Biennial Pacific Cup is literally overflowing.
To date, 72 entries have been received for the 2008 Pacific
Cup race to Hawaii.

designed by Reichel/Pugh and built by McConaghy's Boat
Yard in Australia, has been launched.

FT. LAUDERDALE - CHARLESTON RACE IS POSTPONED
The 2008 Fort Lauderdale to Charleston Ocean Yacht Race
had been postponed. It will be rescheduled for 2009 at
a time that is consistent with Charleston Race Week and
the Charleston to Bermuda Race.

INTERCOLLEGIATE REGATTA HAS A NEW PERPETUAL TROPHY
The Storm Trysail Club (STC) has announced the establishment
of a new perpetual trophy, the Paul Hoffmann Trophy, which
will be awarded to the winner of the organization’s
annual fall intercollegiate regatta.

TRYSAIL TRANSPAC 65 CLASS
After working at length with Storm Trysail Transpac 65
(STP65) class participants, designers and Chief Measurer
Andrew Williams, the STP65 Board of Directors has released
the "box" rule and bylaws by which the class
will be governed.

Pa Ti grabbed an IRC trifecta in the 33rd
annual Fort Lauderdale to Key West Race: first to finish,
first in IRC class A and first for IRC overall on corrected
time.

TRYSAIL CLUB'S 2007 INTERCOLLEGIATE REGATTA
Storm Trysail Club’s 2007 Intercollegiate Offshore
regatta was held at the Larchmont Yacht Club over Columbus
Day weekend (October 6-7). Thirty-one boat-owners shared
their boats and love of the sport with 235 collegiate
sailors. Five races were sailed by the fleet that was
divided into three one-design and one level rated division:
J/44s, J/109s, J/105s and a PHRF Level 72 division. Regatta
information and photos have been posted.
